The Crucible: A History of Royal Sussex County Hospital, is an exhibition of archival materials that review the history of the hospital from the 19th century to now.
The exhibition brings together photographs, drawings, letters, oral histories and new artworks from across the hospital’s almost 200-year history. It celebrates the impact the hospital has had on workers, patients and the community, and will be a unique opportunity to see these artefacts before they are archived at The Keep.
The exhibition is part of a commemorative programme of events supported by National Lottery Heritage Fund and Brighton & Sussex University Hospital NHS Trust. Curated by The Nimbus Group.
Venue: Jubilee Library, Jubilee Street, Brighton BN1 1GE
Dates: 5 – 21 September 2019
