Vital Capacities – virtual residency (2020-21)

Vital Capacities is a purpose-built, accessible digital residency space, supporting artists with time and space to research and investigate ideas, while showing work and engaging audiences through events and interaction on the site.

The Vital Capacities site was developed in consultation with artists and access specialist, Sarah Pickthall, with the aim of making the space relevant for artists to use, and accessible for both practitioners and audiences.

Launched on 1 September, Vital Capacities’ first four artists were Seecum Cheung, Joey Holder, Daniel Locke and Romily Alice Walden.

The second residency programme took place in November 2020, with exhibition beginning in December 2020. See more: vitalcapacities.com.

Vital Capacities is a videoclub project, supported by Arts Council England.
